The journal article “The ARTISTIC Battery Manufacturing Digitalization Initiative: From Fundamental Research to Industrialization” has been published in Batteries & Supercaps (2025).
This work highlights the journey of the ARTISTIC initiative, which since 2018 has pioneered the use of physics-based modeling, Machine Learning, Virtual & Mixed Reality tools to optimize lithium-ion battery (LIB) manufacturing. The study not only shows how Digital Twins and advanced simulations can accelerate design and reduce waste but also how these innovations are transitioning into industrial applications and start-up creation.
