On 25-26 August 2026, partners of the PULSELiON project gathered in Stockholm, Sweden, for the project’s final General Assembly, kindly hosted by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.
The meeting brought together consortium partners from across Europe to review the project’s achievements, discuss lessons learned, and explore opportunities for continuing the journey beyond PULSELiON. Over two days of productive discussions, the consortium reflected on the significant progress made in advancing innovative manufacturing technologies for solid-state batteries and identified potential pathways for future collaboration and development.
A particular highlight came in the final weeks of the project, as the consortium successfully produced a functional single-layer pouch cell based on the PULSELiON sulfide-based solid-state battery concept. This achievement represents an important milestone for the project, demonstrating the industrial feasibility of the technology and validating many of the developments carried out throughout the project. While additional research and development will be required before commercial deployment can be achieved, the successful production of a functional pouch cell provides a strong basis for future work and confirms the considerable potential of the PULSELiON approach.
The consortium believes that the results generated during the project provide an excellent foundation for follow-up research, further technology maturation, and future industrial implementation. As a result, discussions during the General Assembly also focused on how partners can continue collaborating to bring the technology closer to market.
