On 11 and 12 March, the PULSELiON consortium gathered in Porto for our General Assembly meeting — an important milestone as we enter the final stretch of the project. Over two days of engaging discussions, technical deep dives, and strategic planning, all partners reviewed the latest results across work packages, aligned priorities, and defined the pathway toward completing the project with a fully functional pouch cell.
Across materials development , manufacturing optimization , interface engineering , modelling , and integration 🔧, each team showcased major progress. Together, we outlined the remaining steps to:
✅ Finalize the next iterations of the PULSELiON solid‑state pouch cell
✅ Conduct performance testing
✅ Consolidate our scientific and technological impact
✅ Strengthen Europe’s innovation capacity for advanced battery technologies
A big thank you to all partners for their commitment, expertise, and collaborative spirit — and to the Porto team of INEGI for being wonderful hosts! A big thanks also to the teams of INEGI and FEUP for the wonderful guided tours through their laboratories!
As we move into the final months of the project, the momentum is strong and the vision is clear:
bringing Europe closer to solid‑state batteries manufactured through sustainable and scalable Pulsed Laser Deposition processes.
